President, Fitter International Inc.
Born and raised in Calgary, I have always loved the mountains. As a life-long sports enthusiast, I founded Fitter in my basement with a $3,000 loan after ski-related knee and foot injuries forced me to temporarily stop skiing in 1983. So I raced Luge from 1984 to 1988 and then back to WC Speed Skiing on the Canadian National Team from 1991 to 1995. My top speed was 205.56 kph in Les Arc France. This experience gives me an in-depth understanding of training in the competitive sports environment at a World Cup level.
I enjoy public speaking and I like to present a fun Key note on “Reviving your 9 to 5.” It helps people turn their work environment from a liability for 8 hours a day into an asset that in turn helps them to Master the Art of Aging Gracefully.
Fitter has been fortunate enough to win some awards:
- · 1989 Export Achievement Award
· 2001 2002 Venture Magazine’s – 30 Fastest Growing Companies in Alberta
· 2002 Calgary Chamber of Commerce “Small Business Owner of the Year” award
My goal is to continue on my path to help lead the world to better balance.
I have a wonderful wife and work partner, Margaret and 3 great kids Marquess, Tynan and Teaghan. When I am not working or traveling I can be found cycling, karting, skiing or somehow playing with family and friends in Southern Alberta.
